Netflix Selects Ideal Performer for Bon Clay in One Piece Season 3

The Secret Organization is poised to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the major clash isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a adored, audience-beloved member has now been chosen.

The platform declared this week that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Mr. 2. This character has the ability to transform into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. The performer, who is gender non-conforming and goes by they/them, will play a version of that character re-envisioned as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag queen, in the live-action show, unlike the source material and cartoon version.

Escola will work alongside a number of new cast members set to bring the group to life, such as leader Mr. 0, brought to life by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the cast as the ruler of the fictional land.

Even though Bon Clay is a key figure of the group, the individual won’t appear until One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering the next season likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this marks a major departure in the placement of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could suggest additional alterations to the narrative framework.

Escola’s blend of precise humor and emotional depth makes them a perfect fit for the part. Besides their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and multiple awards for creating and performing in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.

Netflix's live-action One Piece series is set to return for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
