The loved ones of young people missing after a deadly inferno at a venue in a Swiss winter destination are enduring an painful wait for answers and appealing for information about their family members online.

The blaze engulfed the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the middle of the night of New Year's Day. Circulated images reveal the roof structure catching alight as beverages with sparklers are raised in celebration.

Emergency services have indicated that it could take an extended period to identify the fatalities of the disaster, which resulted in the death of four dozen individuals and injured another over a hundred. A spokesperson noted on Friday that 113 of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts ongoing to locate the other six.

In the interim, loved ones have been posting on online platforms to plead for any news about their loved ones who were at the bar that fateful night.

Desperate Searches for the Missing

The location of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, a teenager, are not yet determined, according to an heartfelt request from his parent.
